As you may have seen, on Friday, we fully funded Like a Storm Against the Cliffs! This means I am absolutely going to publish this book, and the backers will absolutely be getting their rewards!

And I promised I would come up with some stretch goals, and hopefully fund audiobooks, so today, I get to share those!

For those of you who don't know, stretch goals are basically an opportunity for fully-funded Kickstarter campaigns to offer additional rewards for backers.

Now, as I said in my update on the Kickstarter, I actually was a bad author who thought that she wouldn't make her initial Kickstarter goal and therefore … wasn't prepared for stretch goals. Like at all.

That said, I had initially said that my stretch goal would be producing audiobooks for books 2 and 3 (book 1 already has an audiobook!). After doing a quick budget review, producing audiobooks would cost another $2000 each, so $4000 more just to get books 2 and 3 in audiobook. (You'll note I did lower this a bit on the stretch goals just because I want to give this a fair chance of happening, so I'm going to make it work, but yeah, that's what I'm estimating!)

That feels unrealistic to me and like way too much to gun for all at once, regardless, so I'm going to continue working toward the end goal of funding audiobooks (because yes, I know a lot of you LOVE audiobooks, and I do, too!), but I want some … more achievable middle ground goals, if that makes sense.

So over the next ~25 days, here are our “stretch goals” for The Hilton Legacy Grand Finale Kickstarter!

Most of these stretch goals will benefit the original backers as well as any new backers, so no matter what tier you choose, you'll want to back the project now to get the rewards!
