Elegba is one of the most revered orishas of the Yoruba tradition of West Africa. His name means “the one who has strength or power,” reflecting his role as the guardian of crossroads, gateways, and all points of transition between worlds. As the divine messenger, he carries prayers and offerings from humanity to the other orishas and the Creator, opening or closing the paths before us. A master of duality, Elegba embodies both order and chaos, fate and free will, reminding us that every choice creates a new direction. He is the keeper of possibilities, the spirit of transformation, and the eternal guide standing at every beginning.

The Tales of the Kosmic Monkey is an independent cinematic series. Every episode is entirely self-produced: filmed, directed, written, with an original soundtrack composed by Bastian de Luka. From time-lapse cinematography to drone footage, sound design and narration, every frame is part of a single creative vision, a kosmic quest exploring humanity, nature, ancient cultures and the questions we’ve maybe forgotten to ask.
