Here is a brand new band with a brand new album for the CPROG canon, Notion Blue. Their debut record The Son, the Liar, and the Victor is a creative, moving concept album about brotherhood, loss, and eternal glory. Musically it blends old school progressive rock with quiet melody-infused emotional neo-prog, building occasionally to moments of prog-metal. They manage to sound completely original without obvious comparisons to bands that have gone before. The musicians are all accomplished players, and tasteful Moogy synth and guitar licks abound. The vocals are also excellent, something often lacking in the genre. Check it out. Notion Blue
