Eid Mubarak 🌙
As we celebrate Eid weekend, I want to take a moment to reflect and say thank you.
This past weekend, we welcomed 1,000+ people — including many from out of state — for our 3rd Annual Lehigh Valley’s Largest Community Iftar with a world-renowned speaker. Seeing lines out the door, families gathered, and a room filled with unity was truly special. What started 3 years ago with my cousin (who I forced to be on camera) — inspired by our families (and my grandfather who I recently lost) — has always had one goal: bringing people together and serving others.
I’m incredibly grateful to my family and close friends who made this possible. A special thank you to my mother Ghazala, Aunty Shabana, and all my uncles, aunts, and the entire Mughal and Mohamed families. And another huge thank you to my cousins who drove hours to help — it means more than you know. And .fitness & for capturing it all behind the scenes and keeping us entertained. It truly takes a village, and this vision wouldn’t exist without you.
A special thank you to Shaun King — someone I’ve looked up to and followed for years, alongside millions — for joining us and sharing such powerful words with our community.
I was honestly nervous, but truly honored to open the evening with a speech and introduce our keynote speaker — an inspiration of mine. Seeing the chaos as people kept coming in made me glad I was up on stage and not giving out the food…
To everyone who attended — and those who couldn’t but showed love — thank you. We also appreciate the press and media who helped share our story while we were running around making it all happen.
The theme of the night was simple: Pray for Peace. Peace in our communities. Peace in our hearts. And peace for those suffering around the world — especially in Kashmir, Palestine, and beyond.
Community. Unity. Purpose.
More to come, God willing. 🤝
