🚨URGENT: TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR POPO
It feels like déjà vu.

Another critically ill puppy. Another life hanging in the balance. Another dog who needs help tonight.
We received an urgent plea from Animal Care Centers of New York.

Popo, a stray puppy, is fighting for her life against the deadly parvovirus. She is weak, lethargic, defecating blood, vomiting, and rapidly declining.

And to top it off, it’s very easy to see that she is frightened.

Parvo is one of the most aggressive and devastating diseases a puppy can face. It attacks the intestinal tract and immune system, causing severe vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, and rapid decline. Without treatment, it is often fatal.
Inside a shelter, parvo is not only deadly for the puppy battling it, but it also poses a serious risk to other vulnerable dogs as well—every hour matters.

Without immediate rescue intervention, critical medical care, and the resources needed to hospitalize her, Popo's time is running out.

Tonight, she needs critical ICU care and a plasma transfusion. Right now she needs a miracle.

Please help us raise the critical funds to save her life.

We are rushing to get her to a hospital and will update as soon as possible.

🐾 Melvin survived the unthinkable...and somehow is still waiting for his forever family. He was found collapsed on the side of the road in septic shock, barely hanging on. His future was uncertain, and there were moments when survival seemed impossible.

But Melvin had other plans. He fought through every setback, every procedure, and every difficult day until he finally made it to the other side.

He is:
People friendly
Dog friendly
Sweet and affectionate
Resilient beyond words
9 months old

Now healthy and thriving, Melvin is everything a puppy should be. He's playful, loving, social, and always excited to make new friends. The most confusing part of his story is that he's still waiting for a family of his own.

After everything he's survived, we'd love to see Melvin finally get the happy ending he deserves. Whether you're looking to foster or adopt, this special boy is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and endless gratitude.

🌼Daisy Update! A few weeks ago, Daisy was found under a blanket in Brooklyn - not resting, not sleeping...dying.

She was so emaciated that every bone in her body protruded through her skin. Her muscles had wasted away. Her body had begun consuming itself in order to survive. She had been left there in a condition no dog should ever experience, alone and slowly starving to death.

When Daisy arrived at the hospital, her future was uncertain. The effects of prolonged starvation impact every organ system, and even with treatment, recovery can be fragile. Every meal, every blood test, every day became a waiting game.

But YOU stood beside her.
You carried her story.
You donated.
You shared.
You made sure she received the lifesaving medical care she desperately needed when the odds were stacked against her.

And today, after everything she has endured, we finally have the update we've been waiting for.

🎉 Daisy has been released from the hospital and will be continuing her recovery in foster care.

Her PCV, one of the values her medical team has been closely monitoring, has improved significantly and is now back within the normal range.

She remains on liver support medication and a carefully managed feeding plan while her body continues to recover from the unimaginable neglect she endured. Her bloodwork was repeated yesterday and continues to move in the right direction.

We still have a road ahead of us, but for the first time, we can finally say that Daisy is out of the woods, healing, and getting stronger every day.

And in a moment that meant so much to all of us, our President, Jennifer Brooks, personally drove Daisy home from the hospital, giving her the freedom ride she promised her on the day she first took her into our care.

From dying under a blanket on a Brooklyn sidewalk to a warm foster home surrounded by people fighting for her, Daisy's journey is far from over - but today is a victory worth celebrating.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared her story, and believed in her recovery. Because of you, a dog who was left for dead is getting the second chance she always deserved. ❤️

🚨 DEAF, BLIND & DYING. 🚨 Melissa is fighting for her life tonight.

We received an urgent plea from Fulton County about a disabled dog who is critically ill. She was found starved down to her bones, lethargic, unable to stand and she now she is rapidly declining.

Melissa was found abandoned in a house after her family was evicted. We can’t even begin to imagine the fear and we can’t fathom how anyone could be so cruel.

The shelter does not have the resources to provide the emergency care she desperately needs. Without intervention, Melissa will lose her life. We cannot let that happen.

We are rushing Melissa to a critical care hospital for life-saving care but we can’t do this alone.

Please help us raise the critical funds to save her life.

💖 If you’ve been following Andy’s journey, you know just how close we came to losing him.

Andy was found collapsed inside a children's playground tunnel, gasping for air. The injuries he suffered were devastating. He had a traumatic brain injury, severe lung contusions, significant swelling, and damage to one of his eyes. At the time, doctors weren't sure if he would survive.

But Andy had other plans.

Today, this sweet boy is living the life every dog deserves.

His new family shares:

"He's been adjusting so well and fits in perfectly. His big sister Nairobi is very nurturing and they play all day. They balance each other out so well. It appears that his eye is getting better as well. He's got a lot of energy but is way calmer and more independent than my other puppy. And he LOVES to cuddle. We love him so much!"

From fighting for every breath to running on the beach, playing with his sister, and being surrounded by love, Andy's story is a reminder of why we never give up.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared his story, prayed for him, and believed in him when the outcome was uncertain.

Enjoy your second chance, sweet boy. You earned every bit of it.

Happy Tails Andy 🐾

🐾 This weekend we were at Marshall BioResources - the largest breeding and animal testing facility in the United States - to let them know their days are numbered.

The three-day vigil, organized by , brought together activists, speakers, rescue organizations, and animal lovers from across the country and even England, who refuse to stay silent while animals continue to suffer behind closed doors.

We had the opportunity to speak with Congressman and were encouraged to hear his commitment to this issue. During the vigil, he announced that 150 beagles will be released from Ridglan Farms on Monday - proof that public pressure, advocacy, and persistence can create real change.

Throughout the weekend, local residents honked in support, stopped to ask questions, and expressed disbelief when they learned what happens inside Marshall BioResources. Many had driven past the facility for years without realizing what was taking place behind its doors, due in part to its lack of signage.

Advocates stood outside for hours in the heat, holding signs, sharing information, and speaking up for animals who have no voice. We watched Marshall employees speed out at the end of their shifts as they left for the day - some laughed and some illegally covered their plates as the local sherriff watched.

It's difficult to comprehend how anyone can spend their workday inside a facility like this and then go home to their own families and beloved pets as if nothing is wrong.

Marshall BioResources has officially been put on notice.

Thank you to Beagle Lovers & Rescuers for organizing this powerful event, , Congressman Langworthy, and to every advocate who showed up and refused to look away.

The announcement that 150 beagles will be released is a victory worth celebrating.

But for the thousands of animals still inside facilities like Marshall, our work is far from over.

This weekend was not the end of the fight.
It was the beginning.
