What an incredible evening at the McCreary County Museum’s Annual Gala last night!

The night was filled with celebration, community pride, and well-deserved recognition of some truly outstanding individuals who continue to give so much of their time, talent, and heart.

Congratulations to Charlotte Smith and Beth Kilburn, honored as Volunteers of the Year! Your dedication and tireless efforts have made such a difference in preserving and promoting our history.

A special congratulations also goes to Ray Moncrief, who received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Ray’s years of service and unwavering commitment to our community stand as an inspiring example for us all.

We also extend a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who give of their time and talents throughout the year. Every event, exhibit, and program is possible because of your generosity and love for McCreary County’s history.

The Museum Gala is always a reminder of how strong our community is when we come together to honor the people who keep our heritage and spirit alive.

Thank you to everyone who made the evening so memorable — from the organizers and sponsors to each guest who attended.

Here’s to another year of celebrating our history and the people who make it shine!

🎗️💛 Students Helping Wyatt – Community Fundraiser 💛🎗️

Wyatt Jones, a junior at McCreary Central High School, was recently diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his spine. His fellow classmates and friends are rallying together to support him — and they’re inviting the whole community to join.

📍 McCreary County Park (down by the baseball field)

🎗️💛 All proceeds will be donated to Wyatt and his family. 💛🎗️

This event is about students lifting each other up, showing Wyatt and his family that they are not alone in this fight.
