DLC-002: Split EP
Released: September 17, 2013

Las Vegas’ very own GUTS teamed up with Southern California’s ANCHORLESS for this 4-song EP. We got A LOT of love from people with this record! We were EXTREMELY humbled and encouraged to see everyone’s support, and we sold out of these after a few short months. To see orders coming in from all over the country (with a few international orders as well) for our first physical release was nothing short of awesome. This split featured soon-to-be classic tracks and some fan favorites from each band.

Recently found the multitracks for an old band that I recorded back in 2006 at Earth Capital Studios. Maybe a remix is in the cards for the future?

Name Taken - Hold Your Breath, You Know How Long (2002)

FUN FACT: got their name from the Name Taken song “Panic” 😎

Name Taken was a band from Orange County, California formed somewhere around 1999.
Initially formed as 'All That's Left', the band recorded a demo that became known as 'The Stupid Chad' EP and performed live at backyard shows and church events.
In 2001, the band added Ryan Edwards on guitar and entered the infamous Love Juice Laboratories to record 'The Silent Game' EP, which was released by local label Top Notch Records.
Name Taken quickly saw their profile rise, playing packed shows at larger venues such as Chain Reaction, House of Blues Anaheim alongside bigger acts like Slick Shoes & Dogwood.
Despite their newfound success & in the midst of the young band's ascent in the local scene, Name Taken found themselves without a drummer as Bret (original drummer) decided to step down.
Danny Valencia of Downey, California soon stepped up to fill the open position and it was indeed with his addition that Name Taken saw their greatest growth as a band.
They soon entered the studio to record several demos with Beau Burchell (Saosin), and eventually teamed up with Bayside to release a split on Dying Wish Records in 2003.
It was followed with tours with Spitalfield, Alexisonfire, Silverstein, Senses Fail and more.
In December 2003, Name Taken announced they had signed with Fiddler Records.
They once again entered the studio with Beau Burchell and soon released "Hold On", both their first and last full length album.
It was supported by tours with Fall Out Boy, Bayside, From First To Last, Reliant K, and
Armor For Sleep , among others.
Name Taken disbanded in 2005, although they played two reunion shows in 2007 and released a new song in 2018.
Tracks 1-5, 8 & 9 recorded & mixed by Beau Burchell.

Bad Form was a punk band from San Gabriel Valley, California.
They weren't active for very long, but were a great band.
Two songs off Bad Form's EP were later taken and re-recorded for This Legend's album, 'It's In The Streets'; the versions on Bad Form's EP are the originals.
'It's All I've Got' was originally released in 2013.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Allen Casillas.

Running Late - Your New Addiction (2002)
Listen: https://linktr.ee/562project
YouTube: planete5k

Running Late was a punk band from Alhambra, CA that existed between 1999 and somewhere around 2003 before changing their name to Light The Sky.
The band released an early demo on cassette and followed it up with a self-released EP in 2001 titled 'The Road Less Traveled'.
The EP helped the band score spots on local and regional shows with (then up & comers) Rufio, Yellowcard, and more.
In 2002, Running Late teamed up with producer Mike Trujillo (Osker, Union 13, Choking Victim) to record their first full length album.
'Your New Addiction' was released in 2002 on Aggravated Music.
Recorded & mixed by Mike Trujillo at Succulent Sounds.
