Ingredients:
• 3–4 King Trumpet mushrooms, sliced lengthwise into thick pieces
• 2 tbsp butter (or olive oil for dairy-free)
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tbsp white miso paste
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1/2 cup vegetable or chicken broth
• 1 tsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
• 1 green onion, sliced (for garnish)
• Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add King Trumpet mushrooms and sear until golden brown on both sides (about 3–4 minutes per side).
2. Push the mushrooms to one side of the pan and add the garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Stir in miso paste, soy sauce, and broth. Lower heat and let the mushrooms braise for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway, until tender and infused with flavor.
4. Stir in rice vinegar and the remaining butter to make a silky sauce.
5. Serve warm, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
