Lessons I’ve learned in my first 7/8ish months of business:
1) Relationships are the most important part of business.
You can be great at what you do, but if you don’t focus on cultivating relationships, it doesn’t matter. I encourage you to get out and go to a networking event, say yes to the coffee dates, and connect with your clients.
2) Communication is everything.
So many things can be solved by just communicating. Say what you mean, and mean what you say!!!
3) Get out of the house daily, even if it’s just a walk or to grab a coffee (where are my remote girlies at?). It will clear your brain sooo much.
4) You don’t have to have it all figured out.
It’s so easy to look at peers in your industry and just start playing the comparison game. “They have x number of followers and y number of clients.” Let me tell you, it. does. not. matter. & it does NOT affect you or your success. Focus on one thing you can do each day to grow your business (and stop watching theirs).
5) You aren’t going to feel motivated or excited every day.
Just like any job, there are things that just “suck” about working. As a soloprenuer, no one is coming to do the work you don’t want to do.
I could go on and on with lessons I’ve learned, but I want to hear from you! Comment a lesson you’ve learned in buisness! ☺️
