Last weekend we did something new and used a family heirloom 1965 Mustang Convertible to haul the Bride and Groom from their wedding venue at the Brick and Mortar to their hotel. Sparkler send off. We were asked last minute as the previously booked classic car backed out. (Contact us if interested is something similar)

However, afterwards after speaking to the father of the bride once again I was shocked at the $2900 price tag to rent a dance floor. (I didn’t get pics sorry) It looked like black and white checker linoleum from my vantage point. I understand needing something flat to dance on especially on the concrete area they were using. But DAMN! $2900 for a few hours. Please went renting or acquiring services be sure to pay the actual talent what they’re worth. Don’t waste thousands on add ons.

This was sent to me by Steve who took Winfield Prom to DJ at the last minute when the hired DJ back out a week prior.

The DJ got $700 for a last minute booking and did his job well as you can tell by the attendance on the dance floor.

The dance floor as you can see was waaaay to small but the school spent $1900 to rent it. The talent makes less money than the inanimate object that doesn’t meet the standards.

When setting up your event think about where the money is being spent and what you get out of it and who you are supporting.

The show must go on. Yesterday I lost my father to cancer. Today Belles and Beaus dance. I know he would not want me to stop doing this because of a set back. I wasn’t going to be that guy to back out of a contract even though a really good reason.
