12 News on KWCH and KSCW is Kansan's preferred choice for news and weather. Since 1985, 12 News has been the most watched news in the Wichita-Hutchinson media market at 6pm and 10pm on KWCH. 12 News has carried over to the morning, noon, 4pm, 5pm, and 9pm new

scasts. 12 News also produces newscasts on KSCW. A big part of that dominance is weather coverage. Storm Team 12 and Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen lead the way in forecasting experience, advanced Doppler technology, and media partners that strengthen the brand. KWCH is a partner with KFDI radio. Just as KWCH is the market leader in news and weather, it's also the leader
in community involvement. Locally, KWCH works with Goodwill Industries,
the Kansas Food Bank, the United Way, and many other non-profit agencies to assist their efforts in the community.

"You can't just sit there and watch them die. Because they're literally starving to death."

In September, nearly 35 horses were seized by the Cowley County Sheriff's Office after being found sick and starving. Many were around 600 to 700 pounds when they should have been closer to 1,100 to 1,200 pounds.

Those horses are now recovering at two rescue facilities in Kansas. A fundraiser tomorrow in Arkansas City aims to help one of those rescues.
