Hey fellow foodies 👋🏼 . Kim's Noodle Bar & Grill

Before I get started on this review, let me just point out this is my very first food review EVER. I’ve always been afraid to step out of my comfort zone, try new foods and be in a public light.

When I was younger, trying new foods was like jumping off a bridge for me. 10 year old me would rather fight a bear than try a tomato. 😅 Now that I’m getting older, it is embarrassing going out with my friends and wanting to order chicken tenders and fries all the time. I made this page to try something new and make friends along the way while I try to learn how to love food. So let’s pour some chai and start this review!

*Warning: Childish Tastebuds

One food I’ve always loved is pho. Omg I could talk about pho all day if I could. From the slightly salty broth all the way to the soft noodles that slide down your throat in the most soothing but non weird way possible. 🌚 I decided to check out Kim’s Noodles Bar and Grill. It is a place that many of my friends talk about, a place I considered so close but yet so far I didn’t go until about 2 weeks ago. Let me just tell you, this place is the absolute BEST PHO SPOT IN KS.

Location: Kim’s Noodles is located on what I would call the Southeast side of Wichita (take that with a grain of salt I’m bad at directions). I went in around 2 PM and it was so chill and is definitely a place you wouldn’t feel awkward going in asking for a table for one. Inside was everything you’d expect it to be, clean, quiet, and had an ambiance that made you feel like you wanted to stay for a long time. My waiter was quick, got everything out in a timely manner and made sure to check up on everyone as often as possible and didn’t make you feel rushed at all. It made me feel at home. Lowkey it took away my depression for awhile, that was the most seen and heard I felt in a VERYYYY long time. 😌

Food: I started off with the fried dumplings which I’m about 85% sure were filled with pork and veggies. So FIRE 🔥 Yall if there is one appetizer you get, let it be these delicious dumplings. I mean they were crispy with the perfect amount of saltiness and hit the spot in every way. The sauce added a nice subtle sweetness to it, honestly 9/10 for me. - deducted a point bc they should’ve put bout 10 of them on my plate I would’ve demolished them all 🥴
Now let’s get into the star of the show: the pho. I ordered 25 which is Phở Gà - Chicken pho. Oh my goodness guys, this was the best broth I have ever had in my whole entire life. I literally slurped the whole bowl down and even tried to take a bite of the bowl to get more of the flavor. This was a dish that required little to no fixings in it. I could’ve ate this without the siracha and hoisin sauce if I wanted to… it really just enhanced the already extreme amount of flavor. The noodles were soft, the chicken was tender and juicy and it was such a big bowl. 1000/10 recommend getting this if you’re not feeling well or it is a rainy or chilly day (after a hangover is good too 😏)

Overall: I would definitely recommend you guys giving it a try for yourself and letting me know how you like it! I left Kim’s Noodles feeling satisfied with my pants unbuttoned. This is a meal I have dreams about now. My wallet cries to me on a daily basis to go again and overdraft my debit to experience the flavors again. My tastebuds are doing jumping jacks rn just thinking about how delicious this food was. Thank you all for sticking around till the end. To my fellow childish tastebuds advocates, get out, try new foods and let me know how it goes! 🩷
