Our Shelter Pet of the Week is Alexis!

Alexis came to us as a scared young mother with her three kittens. She was an incredible mama who did everything she could to care for her babies, but sadly, all three of her kittens passed away over the following few months.

Then Alexis took in a fourth kitten who had lost his own mom when he was just a few weeks old. She lovingly stepped in and became the mama he needed. He turned out to be her only surviving kitten, and the two of them were the cutest little pair!

Unfortunately, losing kittens is far too common for cats who have spent their lives on the streets without the proper nourishment, vaccinations, and veterinary care that a cared-for domestic cat receives. As Alexis began to feel safe with us, we got to see her sweet personality shine. She quickly learned to trust people and showed us what a loving girl she truly is.

Alexis may have started on the streets, but that doesn't have to be the rest of her story. She has spent so much of her life caring for others, and now she deserves a family who will care for her. A warm bed, a loving home, and someone to call her own—that's what we want for this sweet girl. Now, it's Alexis's turn to be loved.

Stop in this week to meet this special cat! We are open Wednesday through Friday, 3-7 pm, and Saturday, 10 am-2 pm. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before you come in to speed up the adoption process. We go in order of application received, so the sooner you get in your application, the better! And don't forget, the Pet of the Week has a $10 discount on adoption fees for cats during their week!
