Our Pet of the Week is Chowder!

Meet Chowder, our lovable bully mix weighing about 50 pounds and just shy of 2 years old! This handsome guy is playful, sweet, and full of affection. He gets along well with most dogs that share his size and temperament and would make an excellent companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend.

Chowder loves affection — kisses, cuddles, and any attention you'll give him! Just look at that face and tell me you don't want to smoosh it with love! Come meet Chowder and see for yourself why he's impossible to resist!

Stop in this week to meet this special dog! We are open Wednesday through Friday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before you come in to speed up the adoption process. We go in order of application received, so the sooner you get in your application, the better! And don't forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $10 off cats during their week!

This Sunday afternoon, there will be a fundraiser for Jessica at the Wichita Union Stockyards. They are asking for a $5 donation to help with medical costs and you can enjoy 2 to 3 hours of live entertainment with Sign of Jonah and the Nailbiters and bid on items in the silent auction.

Do you have 2 to 3 hours and $5 to give on a Sunday afternoon?

Goddard Fall Festival was a big success! The theme was "space" and some of the entries were truly amazing. Lonestar LynDe was the parade announcer and Miss Tina was one of the judges. It was a good time had by all! Even Big John, our longhorn had a great time seeing all his fans. Way to go Dani, Amanda and all else who was involved in putting it on!

Wow...what a story! What a way for a pet to get to go on vacation with the family. He wasnt about to be left at home.

“We had driven for two hours and needed to stop for gas. My husband gets out of the car to pump the gas and is like, ‘The cat is on the roof.’”
