For dinner last night I broke out the cast iron skillet and cooked up some chicken, and some brown rice w/ veggies. The skin was crispy and the chicken was juicy.

I’ve had caviar and Wagyu steak but nothing beats a fried bologna sandwich with American cheese and Doritos. The sound alone is nothing but nostalgic excellence!

🚨Comped Post🚨
I was invited to to peep the best kind of cheese, the cake kind. There was so many varieties of cheesecake to choose from I had a hard time choosing. They offer cheesecake flights for when the choice is way too much, for $25.
My favorite dessert of all time is tiramisu, so I was pumped when I saw they had that flavor. As a former cheesecake hater, I was very happy with what I got and I look forward to future visits.

Last I was joined by and and we literally ate the menu at Kusina Ni Cheska. From food truck to brick and mortar, they are serving up some delicious eats that would satisfy your hungry and feed your soul. We each got the deluxe platter that came with your choice of three main dishes, steamed rice and two lumpia’s. For an up charge you can sub the white rice with fried rice or pansit.
My favorite dish was the special they had which was the Pork Humba. It was flavorful and I wanted to eat many bowls of it. It was also my first time trying pansit which were nice and chewy. We also tried out some their desserts as well and they were also delicious and not crazy sweet.
Located in what used to be Beautiful Day, Kusina Ni Cheska is a fantastic addition to the restaurant scene and you and your friends should check it out!

In Salina again this week for work and a friend of mine told me that I needed to check out . A few things about this place:

1. It was founded in 1922 and the rumor is the guy who started it was good friends with the creator of White Castle. Due to creative differences they dissolved the partnership and Bob Kinkel moved out to Salina and started his on line of bite size burgers. Talk about beefing with your besti.

2. Want cheese? Well you’re just gonna have to add your own. At the time that the Cozy Inn opened, the cheeseburger wasn’t invented yet. So keeping up with tradition you cannot order a burger with cheese.

3. If you’re one who likes to toss their sack around, you may wanna be a little bit more gentle. These burgers are free ballin in the bag. So please don’t shake it like a salt shaker.

Ultimately, they are tasty sliders. Was it the best I ever had? No. But the staff and its rich history was just as filling as the burgers themselves. So if you’re ever in Salina, check out the Cozy Inn, just don’t ask for cheese.

Back in 2018 a sandwich kicked off what would become a healthy obsession of letting the camera eat first. It’s given me many opportunities and has allowed me to try many dishes. Through the years I’ve become more comfortable and confident in my work and I love sharing it with everyone. Food has and always will be a big part of my life and I don’t know where I would be without it.

I’m in Salina getting certifications for work, and they have been providing us breakfast before class. Today it’s and I’m having a bagel sandwich with sausage, cheese, and egg. Never had a sandwich from them, so I’m happy to report it’s a dang good sandwich. The bagel is lightly toasted and buttery, the sausage and egg are well cooked and seasoned. I added grape jelly for a little razzle dazzle. Great way to start this rainy Tuesday morning.

Went by for a sweet treat and picked up some butterfinger chocolate cookies. Me being me I couldn’t just eat them I have to play with them as well. So I practiced some splash photography and had a blast! Also the cookie itself is divine and will gobble them up like the wayward raccoon I am.
