On Monday I hit up Las Vaquitas Mexican Food LLC in Derby cause my 😍 saw that they had posted a new menu item and it looked too good to pass up. Tacos Reynosa gives you five delicious tacos with your choice of meat ( I went with al pastor) topped with Cotija cheese, crema, and a fresh slice of avocado. Top it off with some of their house made salsa for a little razzle dazzle and the perfect bite. Paired also with some grilled onions and a nice helping of beans. I gotta say the beans could have been a meal on their own with how good they were, great flavor and the smoked meats were a well received touch.
I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t yet, and if not for this dish then for many of their dishes that are sure to make you a happy camper.

It’s national Tequila day and I had to pleasure of attending a tequila tasting at for some delicious bites and some wonderful tequila. From oyster to chips and queso, and reposado to 1942 I throughly enjoyed myself.

Last night I was invited to have dinner over at RAHA Mediterranean. I went with the Smoked Brisket Hummus and the Pomegranate Fried Chicken. The fried chicken was delicious. It was full of flavor, juicy and the breading was nice and crunchy. My one negative about it was with the pomegranates, and the sauce it came with and the batter itself it was just a tad too sweet for me and I felt it could’ve used something spicy to break up that sweetness. The star of the meal was the smoked brisket hummus! It was creamy and the flavor was out of this world. The brisket was tender and smoky and made for a great addition to the hummus.

RAHA Mediterranean officially opens today and I will definitely be back to try more. I encourage everyone to give it a try.

Made some spicy curry fried chicken w/ some rice for dinner last night. This was a game changer for sure, combining two of my favorite things. The curry powder added a great flavor and I even went so far as to add some pickled garlic juice to my marinade. It’s been a hot minute since I made a meal like this and I consider it therapeutic.
