Jason is a licensed agent for Farm Bureau Financial Services since 2001. He focuses on helping clients meet their financial goals. Jason belongs to NAIFA and GAMA International Jason also served on Farm Bureau’s Agent’s Council which evaluates training and growth opportunities for agents. He and his family live in Newton. Suzy Bohanon
Suzy began working part-time in 2008 at Farm Bureau and in 2010 she joined the team full time. As director of operations she oversees the on the day-to-day activities as well as handling marketing, and training and system development. Licensed in property and casualty, she also aides in quote preparation and assists with customer care. Suzy is a graduate of Washburn University and currently resides in Wichita. James Miller
James joined our team in 2013 and brought with him 4 years insurance industry and retirement funding experience. His focus is helping prospective clients as well as existing clients through the process of quoting new P&C insurance. Whether you’re interested in a quote or just wanting to learn more about insurance on your home, buildings, vehicles, rental homes, liability, and even yourself he is the one to meet with. He attended Barton School of Business and has a bachelor’s degree in business, with an emphasis in finance and economics. James lives in Newton with his wife and son. Donna Brown
Donna joined the team in 2014 after 20 years working in the banking industry. She is licensed in property and casualty and enjoys working with clients to process policy changes, quote new and existing business, and discuss coverages to help properly protect against everyday risk. Her outgoing, friendly and sincere personality makes her an invaluable part of our team, as well as a delight for all of our clients. Donna resides in Newton. Howard Fast
Howard joined Farm Bureau in late 2014 and focuses on group and individual health insurance. Howard graduated with a masters degree from Emporia State where he went on to teach for 20 years. After years in the healthcare industry he owned his own insurance business focusing mainly in health and long term care. After 16 years in insurance, he and his wife moved back to Kansas from California to retire, only to be recruited back into health insurance. Howard’s knowledge and ability to communicate the complexities of health insurance make him a vital team member. Lisa Seltzer
Lisa joined our team in 2017 after a 15 year career in education. Her dedication to providing excellent service to clients makes her an excellent Service Associate. As the first point of contact for all incoming inquiries, you can count on Lisa to take care of your needs, and if she doesn’t have the answer for you she knows where to find it. Lisa graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in education. Lisa lives in Hesston with her husband. Suzann Elliott-Ulmer
Suzann joined our team in 2017 and brings with her thirteen years’ experience in the P&C Insurance Industry. Suzann was raised on a farm and understands and appreciates the farming community with its unique operating requirements. This along with her commitment to putting customers first makes her an ideal fit to work directly with our farm and ranch clients. She is a graduate from Southwestern College with a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management. She brings to the company a diverse skillset of customer service and office management from her experience in the aircraft industry and as a Rural Carrier Associate with the post office. Suzann and her husband live in Whitewater. Katie Schmidt
Katie joined our team in 2018 after working 8 years in the banking industry focusing on customer service and auditing. Her attention to detail and customer service is driven to provide excellent service to clients. She looks forward to growing with the team and clients. She is licensed in Life and Health, and excited to continue to accelerate her education in Investments. Katie lives with her husband and daughter in Newton.
