I've been pretty quiet on Facebook this week because I've been focusing on being present with family and soaking up every minute together.
But if I'm being honest, there's also been a little tug on my heart this week.
For the first time since 2018, I'm missing ChalkCon—Camp Chalk this year.
And while I wouldn't trade this family time for anything, it's still hard. Over the years, this community has become so much more than a business. The people I've met through Chalk Couture aren't just teammates or friends anymore—they're family.
These are the people I've celebrated with, traveled with, laughed with, cried with, and made countless memories with. We've visited each other's homes, shared vacations, supported one another through life's ups and downs, and built friendships that I know will last a lifetime.
When I joined Chalk Couture, I never could have imagined how much it would impact our lives. It created opportunities we never dreamed possible, and introduced us to some of the most amazing people we've ever known.
As much as I wish I could be there this past week, sometimes life calls us to make hard choices. Right now, our family made plans long in advance and i wouldnt want to be anywhere else. Family will always be my first priority.
That doesn't make me miss my Chalk family any less.
To everyone who went to Camp Chalk, I hope you had an incredible time and made some lasting memories.
Sometimes your heart can be in two places at once.
This week, mine is with my family... and a little piece of it was at Camp Chalk, too. 💙
It really is so much more than Chalk ❤️
