With the first South Jersey’s being contested in 1919 it’s been an honor for our team to be bringing one of the oldest continually run athletic events in the country from the beaches of South Jersey’s to the world. It’s been a great year and some of the best racing we’ve covered.

And yes before you comment, we know Brigantine was disqualified… we just were super stoked we got the boat raise and a great interview. It was the best interview setup we’ve ever gotten.

One of the most grueling and epic tests of stamina, The Around The Island Row has rowers put to the ultimate test as they round the entire island of Wildwood. This 16 miles race has been held annually for 5 decades and has seen the greatest athletes in South Jersey compete. Winning times are typically just north of 3 hours. Finishing the race is considered a great feat let alone winning. This year the weather was kind and Poseidon gave competitors a flat ocean. Congratulations Cape May Point on the win.
