Celebrate the Christmas season in the summertime with the Wildwood Crest Christmas in July Festival and Boat Parade on Saturday, July 26, at 6 p.m. along Sunset Lake, near Atlanta and New Jersey avenues in Wildwood Crest. 🎅🌴

Enjoy live music with Jamison performing holiday-themed songs, along with pop and rock hits. Other activities include magic and variety shows, face painting, FREE photos with Santa and more. Food vendors will also be on hand for the event.

The event concludes with the ever-popular Christmas in July Boat Parade in Sunset Lake at 8:45 p.m. Approximately 40 boats decorated for the Christmas season will travel through Sunset Lake for all attendees to view and enjoy. Those interested in registering a boat or kayak for the parade are asked to email [email protected]. Prizes will be awarded to the best-decorated boats. 🚤

Recently, I had the opportunity to capture some impressive drone images of the west cape May bridge and train bridge that runs alongside the canal. I was impressed by the significant number of large boats that travel through this waterway. Arrest Made in July 4th Bias Intimidation and Criminal Mischief Case.

Cape May, New Jersey – Chief Dekon Fashaw of the Cape May Police Department has announced the arrest of David R. Ebner, 21, of Marlton, NJ, following an investigation into a report of assault and the removal and destruction of a flag displayed by the business. Cape May Police Detectives conducted interviews and preserved video evidence related to the incident.

Ebner was charged with the following offenses under the New Jersey Criminal Code:

• Criminal Mischief – 2C:17-3A(1), a Disorderly Persons Offense
• Bias Intimidation – 2C:16-1A(3)(B), a Fourth-Degree Crime

I am thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of Bath & Body Works at the Shopright shopping plaza in Rio Grande, 1500 N.J. 47, situated next to Mangia Pizza and Pasta. A trend is emerging in the area, where prominent retailers from the north are expanding their presence further south, which is beneficial for Cape May County.
