On July 17, 2025, I initially reported to you that Bath and Body Works is opening at 1500 Rt 47 south Rio Grande, New Jersey, in the PetSmart and Shoprite shopping plaza. Today, the sign is up, and the merchandise delivered today is being set up. Although I still do not have an opening date, I anticipate it will be within the next month or so. Please note that this is speculative, and I will provide updates as more information becomes available. I believe this will be a significant addition to the area and expect it to be very busy upon opening. Breaking News: the China House, a beloved Wildwood institution, situated at 4100 New Jersey Avenue, has ceased operations after 14 years of providing the island with remarkable food. Under the ownership of Jenny Yu, her husband, and daughter, the China House has successfully competed with local eateries, such as D**g Sin, The Dragon House, and Panda Kitchen, to offer extraordinary dining experiences. The community will undoubtedly be saddened by the closure of the China House. I wish the owners the best of luck in their future pursuits. I have photographs of the fireman parade and observed that after the parade, three Crest police officers pulled over the Waldwick fire department for driving unsafely with firefighters riding on the back of the truck. I would like to commend the police department for prioritizing safety and requiring the firefighters to disembark the truck before an accident could happen. As this is Firemen's Weekend, a time for celebration, it is essential to remember that safety must always come first and rules must be followed.

The Wildwood Kustom Hot Rod & Muscle Car Show will take place on the boardwalk and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center September 19 – 21, 2025.

Cars will be displayed on the boardwalk from 26th Street to Burke Avenue and in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The indoor show continues at the Wildwoods Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday - just a $5 fee for those over the age of 12.
