๐ก ๐This old house at 207 E. 2nd may be nearing its final chapter, but as the sweet story in our current issue reminds us, every old house has a story.

Sometimes, an old house is more than just a placeโitโs the keeper of beginnings, memories, and moments that shape a life. One reader, Jake Wisniewski, shared a story about a little pink cottage in North Wildwood that holds his familyโs history.
Every old house holds a story, but for Jake, one in North Wildwood holds the very beginning of his own. The little pink beach cottage at 207 E. 2nd Avenue, with its weathered siding and seaside charm, is where his parents first met in 1993โa simple moment that changed everything.
Now, whenever Jake walks past it, he feels the pull of that history. That cottage is more than just faded paint and sun-soaked shinglesโitโs the start of his original story.
Its presence ties him to North Wildwood in a way that feels both personal and timeless.
Seeing this house still standing today makes him grateful, and it sparks a thought:
How many others carry quiet, life-shaping connections to the older homes that remain across the island?
Every old house truly tells a storyโฆ
Jakeโs is living proof.
Thank you for sharing it with us Jake!
