After 24hrs of driving, we got to experience beautiful 📍 Colorado 🤩 The are absolutely gorgeous 😍 we spend around 7 hours going through them, reaching an elevation of 12,005 ft. (around 3.7km above sea level).

The Rocku Mountains are the 3rd longest in the world, stretching between Canada 🇨🇦 and the U.S. 🇺🇸 following which is the 2nd longest in the word and is within the borders of South Africa 🇿🇦 (the beautiful country I was born in) and Lesotho 🇱🇸 called (Zulu: uKhahlamba, Sotho: Maloti, Afrikaans: Drakensberge).

We also spent some time in the city of in Colorado.

We’re on a 24 hour road trip (yes, 24 hours of driving is required 😄). We stopped to check out Lansing, Michigan which is the capital city of Michigan State.

The last frame is the first trip we took to Michigan as a family. We went to the City of Detroit.

Michigan is the 6th of 50 U.S States I’ve been to at this point. It would be nice to be able to visit all 50 States, let’s see how many I’ll be able to get to over time. Living in North America will help me get closer to meeting my “would be nice” goal 😃

On this day, 5 years ago, we were arrived in Canada. In the pic above, I still had my SA winter clothes which were not cutting it for the kind of cold weather we found when we arrived in the Greater Toronto Area 😂

Time goes by so quickly & I’m grateful for the journey we’ve had so far. As we celebrate 5 years in Canada 🇨🇦 we look forward to our next adventure in life 🇺🇸

Last week I attended my first event in Detroit, MI 🇺🇸 It was one of the best networking events I’ve been to this year 👌🏾

Detroit is a 4+ hours drive away from me in Niagara Canada 🇨🇦 I have a vlog up on my YouTube channel sharing the experience of going to this event 🙂
