Traveling as Christians isn’t just about the places we see… it’s about the people God puts in our path. From campgrounds to lakesides, from quick conversations to full-on campfire worship nights—He keeps connecting His people in the most unexpected places.

No building. No schedule. Just hearts gathered together.

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” – Matthew 18:20

If you’re out there traveling too, don’t be afraid to reach out, say hello, invite someone over, or join in when you hear worship music drifting through the campground. You never know who needs that connection… or how much YOU might need it too.

How often do you wash your sheets? For us, it's once a week!

One thing I love is that we have four different duvet covers, so every week, the bedroom gets a completely different look and theme. It's a simple way to keep things feeling fresh in our RV home.

We also have two mattress covers, and we're currently waiting for our mattress protector to arrive. For those who don't know, many RV full-timers use a moisture barrier that goes between the mattress and the bed frame. It helps prevent mold from forming underneath the mattress—a very real issue in RV living that many people don't think about until it's too late!

Now let's talk about making the bed...

Making a bed in an RV is a flipping workout! 😂
I'm currently putting on the mattress cover, and next comes the fitted sheet. Round 2, anyone? Between climbing over corners, lifting mattresses, and wrestling sheets into place, I think bed-making should count as cardio.

Wait for it... the best part is at the end! 😆

We decided to go with CONCORD WALLCOVERINGS for our RV renovation walls — and wow, we absolutely LOVE the look. But fair warning… this project was definitely not for the faint of heart. It was both difficult to install and pretty expensive.

We purchased the 10-sheet pack for around $110, and it only covered ONE slide-out wall. We still have another slide-out wall plus the entire kitchen area left to complete, so since we renovate paycheck by paycheck, it’s going to take us a LONG while before everything is fully finished.

Even with the challenges, seeing the transformation makes it completely worth it. One project at a time, one paycheck at a time, and slowly this 5th wheel is becoming exactly what we envisioned.

For now, we’re stepping away from the walls for a bit because the RV shower renovation is NEXT. 🚿✨

Ohhh if people only knew 😏

This blog hits a little deeper than our usual adventures. Behind the RV life, the travels, and the smiles is something a lot of people don’t see—hard work, sacrifice, smart choices, and a whole lot of faith.

Full-time RV living might look like luxury, but the truth is…it’s a lifestyle built on priorities, planning, and doing things differently than most. Many RVers trade traditional living expenses for freedom, but still juggle costs like maintenance, fuel, and daily life just like everyone else.

We’re not “rich”… we’re intentional.
We choose experiences.

Some of the best places we end up… aren’t planned 🌲🚐

They’re the quiet pull-offs, the hidden lakes, the spots where the mountains rise up and the world just gets still. And somehow… those are the places where you feel God the most.

“The wilderness is not a place of fear, but a place of meeting with God.”

RV life has a way of leading you into the wilderness—sometimes by choice, sometimes by detour. But every time, there’s something waiting for you there… peace, clarity, and a reminder that you’re never alone on this journey.

“I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her there.” – Hosea 2:14

So wherever you’re parked tonight—deep in the trees, by the water, or out in the wide open… take a moment. Listen. Breathe.

I’m so bummed. I made the classic RV renovation mistake… I found a light that I absolutely fell in love with, only for my husband to install it and realize it’s NOT a 12V light. 😭

I searched everywhere, trying to find the same style in a 12V version, and had no luck. Soooo… I took a chance on a completely different style, and honestly, I’m super nervous about it. The new one showed up from

Amazon at 4 AM this morning, and now I have to box this beauty back up and send it back (which makes me really sad).

But hey… that’s just part of the RV renovation adventures, right? You win some, you return some. 😂
Check back later this morning because we’ll be installing the new lights, and I’m crossing my fingers that I end up loving them even more!

Using a drill with an arbor bit and cutting disk blade turned out to be a huge money-saving shortcut for us instead of investing in an expensive grinder just to cut the metal sheets from the HVAC aisle at Lowes. Total game changer for building our spice rack wall in the 5th wheel renovation!

DIY projects like this are exactly why we love RV renovating. Every tool hack, every reused material, and every smart shortcut helps stretch the budget farther so we can keep investing in the bigger dream without going into debt. Instead of spending hundreds on specialty tools, we’re learning to work smarter, save money, and put those extra dollars back into the renovation itself.

Most importantly — wear eye protection, work slowly, and take your time. Safety first always.

Sometimes you just need a day off from the RV park… and WOW did we find the perfect escape! 🙌

We headed over to Fort Buenaventura Park for some disc golf, fresh air, and a whole lot of laughs. This place has it ALL—rolling hills (yes… your legs will feel it 😅), peaceful trails, and that perfect mix of nature and history that makes you forget you’re just minutes from the city.

Let’s just say… the cool, nippy weather worked in our favor as we tackled the course and walked it ALL (because apparently we don’t do “short walks” 😂). Between the disc golf, scenic views, and future picnic plans (because you KNOW we’re coming back with snacks), this spot is officially one of our go-to getaways.

Mark still has zero interest in fishing 🎣 (city boy problems lol), but hey—there’s plenty here for everyone: trails, water, history, and space to just breathe.
