Meet Ray and Vicky Velez, neighbors whose story is filled with adventure, service, and meaningful connection. 💙

From Ray’s 29-year Army career and work with the FBI to Vicky’s 42 years in healthcare as a Nurse Anesthetist, their journey has taken them around the world and back home to Ford’s Colony. ✈️

Today, they enjoy golf, gardening, travel, and simple evenings spent with neighbors and friends. 🏡

With simple monthly porch pickups, residents are making a real impact for families across Williamsburg while proving that kindness starts right at home. 🏡

The James City Lions Club Spring Festival brought neighbors together for a meaningful cause and an unforgettable day of community connection. 💛

Thanks to the generosity of residents, volunteers, and local sponsors, the event helps fund programs like Summer Meals for Kids, student vision and hearing screenings, hunger relief efforts, and environmental projects across Greater Williamsburg. 🌟

From supporting local families to creating opportunities for children in our community, the James City Lions Club continues to make a lasting impact one service project at a time. 👏

SpringFest 2026 brought smiles, laughter, and plenty of neighborhood fun to Ford’s Colony! 🎉

Families gathered for an afternoon filled with face painting, inflatables, arts and crafts, and creative activity stations hosted by the Green Team and Travel Club. Kids also added their own colorful designs to the kindness rock garden, making the event even more special for the community. 🎨

One of the sweetest moments of the day was seeing neighborhood kids sell handmade friendship bracelets to fellow attendees. 🤩

It was a fun reminder of how connection and creativity go hand in hand here in Ford’s Colony. 💕
