We’re in election season, and The Clermont Sun is working to inform its readers about the candidates and issues on the Nov. 4, 2025, ballot. The Sun will distribute election questionnaires to candidates running for local office and publish their responses; if you are a candidate on the upcoming November ballot, please email us at [email protected] to receive our questionnaire. The firm deadline to request a questionnaire is Sept. 30.

The firm deadline for responses is Oct. 3.

Candidate responses to questionnaires will begin running in the Oct. 9 edition of The Clermont Sun, and will continue to run in subsequent weeks until all the completed candidate responses are published. They will be grouped along with any other candidates running for that same local office. The responses will run in this order: court judges, city offices, village offices, township offices, educational service centers and school districts.

A Goshen Local Schools bus was involved in a minor accident around 4 p.m. this afternoon on Woodville Pike, where it clipped mirrors with another vehicle. The bus driver received minor injuries when the mirror struck the driver's window.

There were students on the bus at the time of the accident. A few students were seen by Goshen Township emergency medical personnel at the scene of the accident, and then were released to parents/guardians.

The rest of the students who were riding the bus were brought back to the Goshen campus and were released to their parents/guardians. The district has communicated with all families directly involved and all students have been released to their families.

As always, we are grateful for the support of our local law enforcement and first responders.
