A police officer in Italy stopped a vehicle for speeding at 1:50am but by the time he got up to the vehicle to talk to the driver, the driver’s seat was empty. The only occupant of the car was sitting in the back seat, and he insisted he had not been driving. Since no one had left the vehicle, officers arrested the guy.

WACKY BUT TRUE: ATM THIEVES USED WRONG TOOL... In England a team of crooks attempted to break into an ATM. It was their choice of tools that caused them trouble. Instead of using a hacksaw, or perhaps a sledgehammer, these guys used a blow torch to cut into the machine. It did the job alright, but it also caught the money on fire. They left empty-handed.

WACKY BUT TRUE: GUY STOLE LUNCHES FROM COWORKERS... A guy in Japan has lost his job after managers found his desk stuffed full of containers of coworkers’ lunches. For months employees had complained about their lunch containers going missing — until someone finally installed a hidden camera in the break room. When managers saw the lunch thief taking someone’s lunch they used the video evidence to go through his desk — where they found 17 stolen lunches, many of which had gone bad.

MORE WACKY BUT TRUE: DIVORCE OVER A SOAP OPERA BAN... An Indian woman successfully divorced her husband after he refused to allow her to watch soap operas. The husband’s ban had led to daily arguments between the couple. Eventually, the wife decided the situation was unbearable and she filed for divorce.

BIG THANKSGIVING MEAL INCREASES CHANCE OF HEART ATTACK... The last thing you want to hear at Thanksgiving is that a big meal increases your chance of heart attack, but there it is. A study by the University of Miami found that a person who eats an unusually large meal is four times more likely to suffer a heart attack in the next two hours than someone who didn’t feast. During the first hour after feasting you are at ten times the normal heart attack risk.

WACKY BUT TRUE: TV THIEF FORGOT REMOTE... A thief in France broke into a home and stole a laptop, an iPad, and a TV. Shortly after the robbery the thief went back to the same house, but this time was caught. When he took the TV he forgot to take the remote control.

THANKSGIVING IN A CAN... Grab the can opener and tell your stunt guy to grab a fork to do an on-air taste test of Thanksgiving in a Can. Hopefully he won’t mind that, technically, it’s dog food.

WACKY BUT TRUE: STOPPING THIEVES WITH STEAMED BUNS AND SOY MILK... On a bus in China, two pickpockets were caught in the act by one of the passengers. The bus driver was alerted and he immediately called police. As the bus driver pulled over and waited for police the thieves attempted to escape. Passengers kept the pickpockets away from the door by pelting them with steamed buns and soy milk.
