The new rule changes will create much-needed consistency in baseball across all levels, from college, where a double first base was introduced this past season, to Major League Baseball's change in the size of its bases.

The teams of seniors, comprising three age groups — Shooting Stars, Team Old Gold, and the Rookies — advanced to the National Senior Games Association after placing in the top three in their respective categories at last year’s Indiana State Games in Evansville, Indiana.

Senior Citizens have been practicing at the Union Township Civic Center to gear up for the National Senior Games.

The youth organization's 8U kid pitch team won the District 9 tournament, while the 12U squad begins a journey it hopes leads to the World Series in Williamsport.

The new outdoor Fitness Court and an art mural were a part of America250, the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. The brightly blue-colored platform features a mural of historic Miami Township, and the free fitness court offers a space for full-body workouts in a scenic setting.

Local community members unveiled a new fitness court and mural in celebration of the America250 Project.
