OPERATION SUMMER READING:
A HUGE thank-you to our Williamsport Area Middle School - WAMS Student Council for stuffing nearly 2,500 cinch-bags this morning filled with materials on !

The bags will be distributed to all K-5 students before the end of the school year as we re-launch and promote the return of our Summer Reading Program! 📚 🏖️ ☀️

Not only will every K-5 student receive one of these bags, thanks to a donation from UPMC North Central Pa., but they'll also be able to:

* Pick out and take home a FREE book purchased through a grant received by the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania through donations received through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program.

* For every student who returns their summer reading log at the start of school next year: A book will be purchased and donated to their school library in their honor, thanks to a grant from the Education Foundation AND receive a $5 gift card from Otto Bookstore to put toward the purchase of a book to build up their own home library!

Join the Hiawatha River Boat today for a relaxing cruise! The lower level is climate controlled and features a snack bar with a full line of alcoholic beverages. Learn about the area's rich logging history while onboard the "Queen of the Susquehanna" during a cruise!

The upper deck is covered with a canopy and is perfect for enjoying a beverage and the beautiful Susquehanna River.
