I ended the day with almost 50 Minié balls and all of my fingers. I left the old snapper alone. I know where to check next time I go down there. I just hope he doesn't decide to back in the hole next time...lol. Do you think it's worth the risk?

Metal detecting and outdoor adventure on a small beaver filled creek with Mike, deep in Pennsylvania. We were looking for an old fording area and old bridge near a more modern bridge. We found the location and metal detected it for several hours with some interesting finds.

Wow. Had a fun day metal detecting Civil War bullets in the river. I found about 50 of them and a dozen different types. Everything from Minié balls, pistol balls, carbine bullets and even a couple round balls. It's strictly a bullet spot. Do you think I should go back soon, or look for a spot that has more variety of finds?

So.... I discovered a little bit of rust on a part of the undercarriage of my stealth digging Rav4. Figured I was too busy digging to fix it, so called my local mechanics shop to schedule the part replacement. Well... they told me they don't do that kind of work and that I would have to go to an auto-body shop. I called an auto-body shop and they said that they do not do that kind of work and I'd have to take it to a mechanics shop. Well, I hate talking on the phone, so figured I would just fix it myself. Part is off after much cussing.

Do you think I can just weld it with a few old lawnmower blades for support or should I just just spend the $350 and buy the replacement part?

I am back on the river metal detecting with Crazy Lamp Lady. In this video we RiverRat downriver to a Civil War site where a battle took place that included a disastrous retreat across the river where many soldiers lost their equipment. Crazy Lamp Lady and I find a lot of Civil War relics with our metal detectors, see a giant catfish, and almost get attacked and abducted by a huge water spider. Hey... got a quick question. I am in the process of making a magnet-fishing and detecting video. I received this magnet-fishing rig from a guy here in the U.S. that sells the rig. This is the rope and carabiner that is part of it along with a double sided magnet (not shown). I want to give him a shout-out in the video but can't remember his name or company name. I want to apologize in advance to the magnet man. Most of you probably know I do suffer from chronic CRS, and am having a bit of a flare up today. Gotta scoot from here for bit.
