With only a few small tools and a truck, he got to work. Soon, with the help of 'word of mouth', he added a couple employees to help him keep up with the mowing and landscaping. With the birth of

his first child, Reese, came a new responsibility and desire to provide and build a business for his son to be able to grow up with and maybe someday take over. While he loved working outside and landscaping, he always felt he wanted to do more. He started going to classes on patio and retaining wall building and that’s where his true passion was sparked. He loved to create and build with his own hands these works of art that customers could enjoy for years to come. After many years of hard work and many hours spent learning a new trade, Chad was building walls and patios as well as mowing and landscaping. In 2010, he came across Greg Wittstocks site ‘Aquascape Inc.’, and he knew right away that adding water to the outdoor living space was what we were missing! He began taking classes and getting certified in “Aquascaping”. He went faithfully every year to the week long training with Greg and his team and soon began installing features of his own. Shaylor’s now has the largest display of water features in the area. Chad is a true entrepreneur and when he see’s an opportunity presenting itself, he’s not afraid to go for it. Chad and his wife Shannon, along with their 3 crazy kids are running this family business with one goal in mind—Customer Service. They know that just providing a great product is not enough. It’s the last 10 percent that is what will set them apart.

Our Story

I started mowing grass and landscaping in the summer of 1997 for a landscape company and that's when I realized that this was what I had a true passion for. In 2005, I decided to go out on my own. I started with a truck, shovel, rake, and mower. I mowed a few yards and installed a few landscapes. As time went on, I knew that I needed to do more. Over a couple of years, I attended several classes on pond building and retaining wall/patio building. I gained a lot knowledge and achieved certifications to be able to expand the business. We are now a full service landscape/hardscape/ waterscape company. We install new landscapes as well as maintain them. We install recreational ponds and pondless waterfalls and offer a complete maintenance program to go with it. We do spring pond clean outs and start ups as well as fall cleanouts and winterizing. Another service we offer is Patio and Retaining wall installation and maintenance as well as cleaning and sealing existing patios. Finally, we provide mowing, mulching, leaf clean ups, and fertilization services. I am continuing to attend classes every year to learn more and keep up to date with all the new information and specs to be able to offer you the most current information and services that are out there. We are customer focused and know that without YOU we wouldn't be here! We strive to provide the best customer service experience possible. It’s the attention to detail that sets us apart from others. We have a passion for our work and we hope that that shows in our projects!
