My shirt says "Be a kind human."
Why?
Let's look a little closer.
That checkout person that is super slow is teaching you presence. Turn and talk to the person behind you. Be in your body.
Passing by a person that really put thought and effort into how they look would surely love
"I love your vibe. Your outfit is beautiful. You look great." Lifting people up is free and who doesn't love a great compliment.
Being decent to people on the phone and not being a keyboard jerk because the screen gives you some sort of anonymity and distance. You can be upset about charges or whatever injustice is happening to you. Don't type it, if you can't say it to a person's face because it does land on an actual human at the other end.
If you have been unkind:
You can always apologize mid-flow in any exchange. Like "hey, I apologize. I realize this isn't your fault." Its really that easy. People really respect that!
Don't add more layers of shame with lamentation. Just course correct.
React or Respond. You choose. Nobody is controlling your internal response.
Take the moment to ask yourself "What am I supposed to be learning here?"
Patience
Presence
Empathy
Slow down. Life isn't a race.
Enjoy what you have.
Be real.
If you're craving a grounded reality check on whatever you're dealing with, I'm here!
