Amazing job to the competitors and coaches, as well as the community for supporting supporting this program!
Coyote Clay Target League had a dream to add the 4th discipline, S***t, to the list for their athletes to participate in. With this dream they built 4 s***t fields in winter of 24-25 and found a retired navy seal who shot s***t in the navy along with a buddy of his who shot a lot of s***t. They took athletes who never shot or seen s***t and lost the conference by 17 clays in spring 2025. A month later and a lot more hard practice this team went to the state tournament and won championship by 1 clay. Fall 2025 this team took first, again in spring 2026, and again at the 2026 state tournament.
Not only did the team come out, but a few individuals have also truly shined. Harper Rydberg placed 2nd in novice female, Haylee Johnson placed 2nd in JV female, Kail Jones placed 3rd in Varsity Male, and Maddy Johnson was named the spring 2026 state female s***t champion and she attended the state tournament to successfully defend her title.

Sporting Clays: KayDee Ceynar is state champ in Novice Female; Janessa Nelson is state champ in JV Female; Maddy Johnson took 3rd place in Varsity female; and Jaxon Rydberg placed 3rd in Varsity Male.
The team will head to Horace this weekend for the state trap tournament. And then Kail Jones, Maddy Johnson, Taeson Hendrickson, Haylee Johnson, & Blake Engleman will attend Trap Nationals in Mason, Michigan July 8-12.
