Please be advised that there is an active fire investigation in the 5100 Block of 134th Ave NW. Multiple agencies are assisting on scene and our dispatch is aware of the situation and is actively coordinating resources. Please refrain from calling this in, keeping phone lines open helps ensure emergency communications can continue without delay.

There are multiple roads blocked off for the public’s safety, please avoid the area to let our first responders work safely. We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation.

🚨CASE DEEP DIVE: TIMOTHY LAMAR JONES🚨

⚠️TRIGGER WARNING: ALLEGATIONS INVOLVING A MINOR⚠️
The following update contains details regarding an investigation into ALLEDGED crimes against a minor. Reader discretion is highly advised.

On May 5, 2026, Timothy Lamar Jones (45 years old) was taken into custody in Williams County following a months-long investigation by the Williston Police Department. This case first came to light in January 2026 when law enforcement received a request for assistance regarding a juvenile born in 2019 (7 years old). Following several forensic interviews, authorities have moved forward with multiple high-level felony charges.

The allegations involve 3 Counts of GSI (Gross S**ual Imposition) incidents reported to have occurred between August and December 2025 while the defendant was living in the same residence as the victim. Jones is currently being held in custody with a $250,000 bond as the legal process begins in the Northwest Judicial District.

Jones has a prior felony criminal history dating back to 2014 including:
• 2021: C Felony Endangerment of child or vulnerable adult (Guilty).
• 2024: A Misdemeanor DUI with a minor (Closed).

Band Day Parade is JUST 2 DAYS AWAY! 🎉🎺

We’re excited to see the community come together for a day of music, energy, and hometown pride. As always, safety is our top priority...here are a few quick reminders to keep the day running smoothly:

🚸 Keep kiddos close and remind them to stay back from the street and parade route.
👮 Officers will be stationed throughout the area. If you need help or have a question, just look for us!
🚲 Our bike patrol team will be moving through the crowd to stay visible and responsive.

Let’s work together to keep this a fun, safe, and memorable Band Day for everyone!
