🎨Meet our featured Brand Ambassador, Lauren Ireland! Lauren earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. She is also a Certified Art Materials Professional through NAMTA. Her curiosity about the natural world and art was ingrained first by family members with similar passions, along with having the Southwest Florida beaches and Everglades as playgrounds. Her work spans a range of mediums, including watercolor and pen & ink, but oil painting has been her primary focus.

Her portfolio consists of a diverse range of plein air works to highly detailed studio paintings, depicting realistic landscapes, pet portraits, and whimsical scenery. Her work has been exhibited in local art centers, art festivals, and galleries in southwest Florida. Her love of sharing her knowledge of art materials and processes is expressed in her workshops and personal teachings. She considers painting to be a soul-enriching, therapeutic experience that communicates her love of the planet’s raw beauty to the viewer, inviting them to be inspired and to use their imagination.

Sharing some tips from .b.sorrentino
“How did I not know this?

I very recently I asked myself this question!! Why are there 3 whites to pick from.

I’m an illustrator and print designer and use gouache almost daily.

I even asked the VP at Hobein USA for some info about this paints and he shared some great info with me too. I kind of love geeking out about art supplies, so here ya go!

Perm and Primary are the same titanium pigments whereas Zinc is zinc as a base.

I hope it helps you with your own work and creative practice!

I’m thinking about doing a series on comparing other colors- blacks, earth tones etc. what do you think?”

Holbein Artists’ Luminous Watercolor are intensely vibrant and bright. Use alone or add to your standard colors to enhance your compositions. These colors are especially nice in florals 💐. You’ll find them in sets of 12 and open stock at your favorite online or art supply store! 🛍️
