💧Holbein Acrylic Ink (HAI) delivers bold, brilliant color with exceptional versatility. Featuring 50 highly pigmented, lightfast colors, HAI maintains the same color composition and pigment strength as Holbein Heavy Body and Fluid Acrylics, but in a significantly lower viscosity form.

Brush, airbrush, dip pen, or refillable marker for vivid, expressive color or delicate watercolor-like washes. Perfect for calligraphy, lettering, and stamping.

⚠️ Tips: Shake well before use, twist the cap 90° and be careful when opening and closing as ink may spew out from the bottle. Pearl colors aren’t suitable for refillable markers.

🍁Happy Friday all! Today we are pleased to feature the exquisite work of Shana Rowe Jackson who is also a Holbein Brand Ambassador. In her post she writes, “Things have been a bit crazy here, but in between the chaos, I have been working on this piece little by little and finally completed it. It was a nice distraction! I wanted to play around with some mixed-media for this one, combining Holbein’s new watercolor pencils with their watercolors and regular colored pencils for details. This was done on a Stonehenge Aqua Aluminum Artist Panel. It was an interesting combination and a lot of fun! There will be a video when I am able.

🩷We’d like to introduce you to Holbein Brand Ambassador Jenna Brechbiel 💐 Jenna is an artist and a teacher and as a woman, mother, and watercolorist, Jenna finds that her art is a reflection of the beauty and chaos that is life. She finds inspiration in the natural world around her, and aims to capture its essence in her paintings. Watercolor is Jenna’s chosen medium because of its fluidity and ability to create both delicate and bold strokes. Each brushstroke is a moment in time, a reflection of emotions and experiences. She has been teaching watercolor since 2014 and is also a brand ambassador for Legion paper and General Pencil.

“We love Holbein™!

We carry a large variety of Holbein™ paints. Holbein™ is notorious for their high quality paint and unique, highly pigmented assortment of colors.

Our newest lines that we picked up is the Holbein™ Gouache and Holbein™ Acrylic-Gouache. Their Acrylic-Gouache behaves just like traditional gouache, but is opaque and water-resistant once it dries— like acrylic paint. It dries matte and its color tone stays consistent from wet to dry.

We also recently replenished their Artists’ Watercolors, Artist Acrylics, and the Holbein™ Duo Aqua Oils. Their Duo Aqua Oils are neat because they have the same vibrance and lightfastness as traditional oils, but clean-up is much simpler; no need for mineral spirits, just use soap and water. Just make sure that you use a corresponding water-soluble oil medium with these oils.

The work of our friend and Brand Ambassador graces the cover of each of these sets that contain 6 Holbein Granulating Watercolors. This line of Holbein watercolors are vibrant, intense and offer a naturally textured finish. They are created by combining pigments of different particle sizes that settle into the paper’s texture, producing a unique, earthy appearance with color-splitting effects in some shades.
