Paint like an award winning artist with Andrea Walker’s Holbein materials list:

Holbein Artist’s Watercolor- My colors used in this painting are Burnt Umber, Ultramarine Blue, Quinacridone Magenta, Pyrrole Rubin, Viridian Hue, and Permanent Yellow Deep. I love that Holbein watercolor does not contain ox gall. This gives you better control of the watercolor. See for yourself.

Brushes- Holbein Gold round, flat, and rigger brushes. Holbein Gold is by far my favorite brush. They hold a fine point and have the right amount of spring for effortless painting.

Holbein Masking Fluid- This is a transparent watercolorist’s best friend. You can use it to preserve highlights.

We love these cute and clever stickers made by .louise, who writes, “New sticker 🚨 for all the amazing gouache artists out there!

After painting with mostly acrylics for over 10 years, I bought my first Holbein gouache set in 2020. I was splitting time between 2 houses and needed to have paint that was easy to pack up and gouache was it.

Little did I know it was going to change everything, my style, my skills (something just clicked with this medium) and my subject matter. I fell in loooove and never really looked back! I always say gouache is like if watercolor and acrylics had a baby 😆 It’s silky, vibrant and has a beautiful smooth feeling 💞
I made a series of paintings featuring different color tubes and this sticker is a piece of one of those paintings.

💕We are pleased to introduce you to Holbein Brand Ambassador, Kirsten Bollen!
Kirsten Bollen is a Calgary-based contemporary artist known for her vibrant, modern interpretations of the Rocky Mountains. With a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design from the University of Alberta, she blends her graphic design background and passion for the outdoors into her work.

Her signature approach is to paint with matte acrylics on circular birch panels, using a fresh and bold nature-inspired palette to translate landscapes into simplified forms. The artwork evokes
the emotional resonance of place, inviting the viewers to connect with the scene.
