What a great Meeker County Fair - Litchfield, Minnesota 4H and Open Meat Goat show!

Emma Kaehler Won Grand Champion Breeding Doe, Grand Champion Meat Goat and Grand Champion Intermediate Showman in the 4H show and then again today took home the Open show Grand Champion Breeding Doe with our very own KSGF REBA and Reserve Champion Market goat!

Grace Kaehler won Reserve Grand Champion Breeding Doe today in the Open Show with another one of ours KSGF EVE!

It is so fun to watch these two compete and see all their hard work pay off. These girls run our breeding program and their dedication to creating great show goats is evident.

Can't wait for the rematch at Kandiyohi County Fair next week!

A special thank you to Heritage Exteriors for sponsoring Grace Kaehler at the blue ribbon auction this year! Grace won a MN State Fair trip with her Grand Champion Breeding Doe.

The Blue Ribbon Auction is a premium only auction that supports youth with livestock participating in the state fair. This year Grace will be using these funds to attend the state fair and furthering her education at SDSU in AG Education.

The girls had a great time showing at the Kandiyohi County Fair!

Grace had the 4-H Grand champion meat goat, Grand champion breeding doe and many other first place goats. She also earned reserve champion senior shoman, premier FFA exhibitor and earned a state fair trip for 4-H.

Emma, had 4-H Grand champion market doe, reserve champion market goat, Grand champion Junior showman and placed high in all the rest of her classes.

All in all the kids brought 17 goats to the fair, so proud of the work that these girls do.

Yesterday's auction at the Premier Youth Goat Sale was a great success, Grace has worked so hard over the last 10 years to help build the program we have and it shows.
Thank you to all who purchased and supported these kids.
It was also great to see her with her show friends making memories 😊

We are a less than a week away to this event!! WOW that has just cruised by!! Thank you, youth for the hustle. Thank you parents for going with the flow. Putting this event together isn't for the faint of heart. We are so excited for this event which is THIS SATURDAY!! This group of youth have worked so hard to promote, work and make this event happen.

All but one photo posted on this page have been photos of these exact youth throughout the year showing their goats.

Our mission is to promote the meat and dairy goat industry, get goats into the hands of youth who want to show, or want to improve or build their herd. As well as showcase the youth who have been working hard on their herds and have an opportunity to sell their goats to the public. All around this event is a win win for everyone.

This event will also provide educational opportunities for youth on a beginner or intermediate levels, with clipping how tos, showmanship, and nutrition talks!! It's a first of its kind event EVER in the state of MN and we hope you can make it!!
