The suspect truck was in the area of the reported attempted luring, but “video and audio from the vehicle’s cabin indicated" nothing was said to the child.

In this week's episode, Michal and Joe it's a defeat pod, as each of our local football teams took an L in Week 4.

But it's not all bad news. We talk how it all went down and look at the bright side, beginning with favorable Week-5 matchups for New Trier, Loyola and Highland Park

"There’s nothing that will have more impact on the (Glencoe's) future."

Village President Howard Roin shared those words in reference to ongoing discussions about the town's water supply, including its aging water plant.

As Glencoe officials look to determine what the future of the village’s water supply might look like, the Village Board last week unanimously approved a contract with an engineering firm to conduct a water supply analysis. The $150,000 contract with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, of Chicag...

While a lane will soon reopen on Sheridan Road in Wilmette/Kenilworth, more road work (in different locations) is in store through at least the end of the year.

Read more on where the project is and where it is going.

Traffic disruptions on North Shore’s signature lakeside roadway are expected to move on — but unfortunately for local motorists, not far — later this month, town officials said. Rehabilitation work to a more than 100-year-old sewer pipe beneath Sheridan Road is preparing to enter a new phase a...

New Trier flag football has taken on some of the area — and state's best — in just the past week.

And while the going's been tough, the Trevians hope the tough gets them going.

A tough stretch competing against some of the area’s best can leave a mark on any team — but it can also lead to something far more important. That’s the working mindset for New Trier girls flag football, a team that believes its growing stronger every game despite being in the midst of the mo...

The Guildhall streetery won't go away.

With the structure's closure on the horizon, Glencoe trustees on Thursday addressed concerns from its supporters and opponents — while also delaying its closing date.

The streetery at Guildhall must come down, Glencoe trustees stated Thursday, reinforcing their previous decision. Just not quite yet. The trustees unanimously agreed to suspend the original closure date of Sept. 30, saying they’ll determine a new date for the streetery to close at the Village Boar...
