In the fall of 2022, Sabrina Gracias founded the (“Rise Up” in Latin) out of a burning desire to tackle issues that she was impacted by around youth mental health and su***de and our nation’s mental health crisis. Like innovation, transformation in the mental health space cannot scale alone. We need radical levels of collaboration to build new models and ways to truly deliver on the promise of living in a mentally healthier world. Ortus Foundation’s mission is now underway. We are a partner in mental health advocacy, an impact investor, and a change agent. We are working on several initiatives, including collaborating with higher education on their mental health programs and policies, helping build capacity with service providers, directing early-stage investments in the mental health space, and supporting the movement of the use of psychedelics in therapy for drug-resistant treatment. I am so thrilled to be working with a new medical practice – Thrive Internal Medicine. I know that so many of us have struggled to find a physician that we can connect with and can also easily access. Both Dr. Berg and Dr. Petrungaro are long-time Northwestern physicians who recently started a concierge / direct primary practice in Northbrook.
