Today on Whatchu' Doin’ North Carolina...

🏡🌊 OKAY…WHO KEEPS BUILDING ALL THESE HOUSES?! 😂

Listen, I know communities have to grow. People move. New businesses come in. Development happens. I get it.

AND I like having new restaurants and stores nearby just like everybody else. 😂

But can we talk about what happens when you look around one day and barely recognize the place you live?!

From Surf City, Topsail and Hampstead to Wilmington, Carolina Beach, Raleigh and communities all across North Carolina—things are CHANGING.

More houses. More apartments. More people. More traffic.

And every time I see another big patch of trees disappearing, I’m like…ummm, what are y’all putting THERE?! 👀😂

On this episode of Whatchu Doin’ NC, we’re talking about growth—and that weird feeling of loving where you live but also missing what it USED to be.

Because I’m not against progress. Let’s be clear. I like Wi-Fi. I like Walmart. I like having somewhere good to eat. I am NOT trying to go back to 1952. 😂

But can we keep a LITTLE of what made our towns special?

And here’s the real question:

Are we building communities…or are we just building houses?

I want to hear from y’all because I KNOW I’m not the only one thinking about this.

I Accidentally Became a Gardener! 😂 | Whatchu' Doin’ North Carolina

I never thought I’d say this...but I am officially addicted to gardening! 😂

What started as “I’ll just grow a few vegetables” has turned into a backyard greenhouse, checking my plants a million times a day, and constantly looking for my next thing to plant!

And honestly? I love it. When life gets a little cluttered, I can go outside, get in the dirt and just...breathe. 🌱

I also discovered two Wilmington spots that I somehow never knew about Farmers Supply on Oleander and The Plant Place on Market Street, and let's just say...I may have found my new shopping problem! 😂

So I'm asking YOU: Where do you go for your plants, seeds and gardening supplies? And what are you growing?

Tell me your favorite local gardening spots because apparently...I need more places to shop! 😂🌱

I had an amazing time during my Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at The Greater Topsail Chamber of Commerce for my podcast Whatchu' Doin’ North Carolina yesterday. I met some awesome people and cant wait to share their stories with you all. 🥰
