This morning we documented the State of the County at Clayton Hall, hosted by the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and presented by Delmarva Power.
County Executive Marcus Henry opened with a keynote that set the stakes. What followed was a room full of the people who actually move the ground.
A panel walked us through the lifecycle of a project, from the first idea to the day the shovels hit dirt. Manufacturing and logistics leaders talked about the goods and the jobs flowing through this county. Voices in revitalization and community development spoke to the neighborhoods being rebuilt. And a look at innovation and emerging industries closed the morning on what comes next.
We were there for one reason. To hold it still. To make sure the faces, the handshakes, and the commitments spoken into that room outlast the morning they were made in.
