* Until 915 AM EDT.
* At 819 AM EDT, a cluster of strong thunderstorms was located near
Oak Island and extended south across the adjacent coastal waters
off Brunswick County, moving east at 15 to 20 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots. There is also the potential for
frequent cloud to sea lightning.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
* Locations impacted include...
Fort Fisher, Cape Fear Sea Buoy, Kure Beach Point, Kure Beach,
Sheepshead Rock, Buoy Off Carolina Beach, Lockwood Folly Inlet Sea
Buoy, Dredge Wreck, 5 Mile Boxcars, South Masonboro Island, Caswell
Beach, Holden Beach, Carolina Beach, Bald Head Island, and Oak
Island.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
If caught on the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions.
Make sure you and your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets.
Frequent lightning is possible with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
