✨If you have a live tree✨

The City’s Recycling & Trash Services will collect the tree on a customer’s regular trash day pickup. Trees must be placed out separately from trash or recycling. Please remove all decorations.

New Hanover County is currently offering live tree drop-offs at both Home Depot locations in Wilmington (5511 Carolina Beach Road & 210 Eastwood Road) through Jan. 31. Live trees are also accepted at the county landfill, located at 5210 US Highway 421 North. All decorations must be removed prior to drop off.

Artificial trees aren’t recyclable and can be collected by the City’s Recycling & Trash Services. If the tree will not fit in your trash cart, schedule a bulky item pickup by calling us at 910.341.7875.
