One of the Southeast’s most anticipated sailing events is here!

The 62nd Annual Ocracoke Regatta, sets sail tomorrow, June 21, 2025, hosted by the Pamlico Sailing Club and proudly sponsored by McCotter’s Marina in Washington, NC, and The Provision Company in Oriental.

This 33-mile pursuit race is a true summer classic - featuring spinnaker, non-spinnaker, and party boat classes (yep, powerboats are welcome too!).

📍 Racers will set sail from Indian Island to Ocracoke, wrapping up with an awards ceremony and plenty of dockside fun!

America's Great Loop Cruisers' Association's (AGLCA) Spring Rendezvous returns to the Norfolk Waterside Marriott in Norfolk, VA this Friday, May 2nd. Scuttlebutt Magazines will have copies of Great Lakes, Southeast, and Gulf Coast as part of the welcome bags at the event!

The AGLCA Spring Rendezvous is a fun and informative event with over 20 seminars split between two tracks. The first covers the route from the Chesapeake to Alabama and the second is for Looping 101 topics such as picking the right boat and understanding weather. Attendees can mix and match sessions however they like, and there’s even an optional safe boating course taught by the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
