Developed in 1975, this scale categorizes skin based on its reaction to sun exposure, helping us understand sun sensitivity and risk. It ranges from Type I (very fair, always burns, never tans) to Type VI (deeply pigmented, never burns, always tans darkly).

Knowing your type is more than just a fun fact—it’s essential for:
