Hello all! It has been awhile. I have an extras opportunity for you tomorrow in Wilmington. There is no compensation and this is volunteer. Please see the e-mail below from the AD to see if you are interested. This sounds like a fun project with great potential. Please email him if you are interested!!

From 10am until around 3pm we'll need background actors. We'll give them refreshments to keep them fresh, and treat them well. We're doing a conference championship wrestling scene and will be filming all day for it, but only need our crowd for a few hours. We'll ask about two dozen of them to stay longer and be given meals once we punch in to do our dialogue with our cast that are in the stands as well.

The film will be premiered in local theaters throughout the state before it's pitched to our potential distributors that have expressed interest.

When: 10AM - 3PM
Where: Williston Middle School's Gym @ 401 South 10th Street Wilmington, NC 28401
Wear: Casual clothing without large logos.

A film version of a soon-to-be-published novel by Clinton resident and Sampson Independent publisher Sherry Matthews is kicking into high gear next week with an open casting call set for Tuesday, Aug. 4 so producers and directors can cast the roles in the movie, based on the 1984 murder of music minister Dan Arnold.

All interested actors and actresses are encouraged to participate in the casting call, being held at the Sampson Community College Activities Center from 3 until 8 p.m. Aug. 4. Those who take part in the call are asked to bring a resume and a head shot and be prepared to read a side.
