M.A.M.I. Monthly Sunday Ritual

Many people walk this earth burdened by ancestral trauma, wounds from past lives that have created blockages in the present. It is however our ancestral duty and purpose for descending in Mother Earth as humans is to overcome these things. The medicine is in the trauma. The reward is in the lesson.

Before we can call on any water spirit, before we approach any Orisa or deity of the waters, we must first become water, pure, present, and flowing. We must connect with our inner waters. that is our higher self.

Water is ancient. Water is alive.
Water is a keeper of secrets and a guardian of memory. It remembers you, even when you forget yourself.

Even those who claim they are not “of the water” carry it within them. It is in our blood, our sweat, our tears, our womb, and our breath. It is in our amniotic beginnings and our ancestral endings.
Water appeasement is remembrance.

On this M.A.M.I. Sunday, we’re gathering at a living river to cleanse, release, and reconnect.
Expect spiritual bathing, ancestral offerings, and collective prayer as we honor Mami Wata, our ancestors, and the sacred codes of the water element.
