That blanket is twelve years old. It should've been thrown away a long time ago. But we can't do it. Not ever. 🧸🐾
It was the one we brought home the very first week we got Copper — back when he was small enough to fit in one hand, when the vet said "he's got the classic Beagle nose, this one's going to follow his heart everywhere." That blanket has been washed hundreds of times, patched twice, and it still smells like him in a way nothing else does.
Now he's older. Slower. Sleeps a little more than he used to. But he still curls up on that same worn spot every single morning, like it's the safest place in the world. Because to him, it is.
Some things you don't replace, even when they fall apart. You just love them a little harder. 🥹
