Located on the southern end of Jackson Hole in Hoback, Wyoming, Three Hearted Studio offers pro audio recording, mixing and production in a mountainside cabin setting. I’m a performing singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist aiming to provide a relaxed, inspiring vibe to capture your next solo or band project. For either live or multi-track, the main log cabin studio room is a natural sounding

acoustic space with just enough color and ambience. Since 2006, I've been a recording artist learning the trade with an engineer's heart. From impressionable sessions with top-notch musical minds in Austin as a member of Screen Door Porch, to hundreds of mobile live recordings and collaborations along the way, every project deserves a quality reproduction and a fresh ear. There's also an incredible network of talented session players in Teton Co to tap for textures.

Rhodes + Hammond/Leslie + Synth day in the Three Hearted control room with Mike Patton. Forthcoming Mystery Machine material is now elevated, padded, epic-fed, ambiently adorned, weirded out. We tracked so much material our heads were spinning like a Leslie rotary horn. We put Leslie in the closet triple-mic'd (TLM 103, c414 on upper horns and Sm7b lower rotor drum). '74 Rhodes went direct thru Grace Felix and re-amped thru '67 Blackface Super Reverb twin mic'd (V13, m160). Churning butter never sounded so good!

Bunch of fun sessions here at the Three Hearted cabin this fall. Wish I had photos of everyone (!) but here are a few captures on the fly. For the last two weeks, been mixing and mastering an LP for that was recorded live in the cabin, all in the same room. It's really hittin'! A few significant upgrades in the works as we head into winter sessions. Let the light in!

Located in Hoback, Wyoming ("Hoback Nation") just south of Jackson Hole, Three Hearted Recording offers professional grade recording, audio production and mixing, and a session musician resource in a mountainside cabin setting.

Founded by songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer/engineer Aaron Davis, the studio maintains the quality and integrity of more costly operations, offering a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere that harvests great performances. Aaron’s experiences over the course of his own nine studio albums (most recently with Aaron Davis & the Mystery Machine) have all been different in scope, though none more impressionable than Screen Door Porch‘s studio sessions working with top-notch engineers and musicians in Austin.

Three Hearted Recording aims to cultivate that same cozy and supportive vibe for artists to thrive in their performances. Whether you are a full band making an album or a solo act looking to add textures to your songs utilizing a regional network of studio players, it’s a Three Hearted process — the engineer/producer’s heart, the artist’s heart, and the third heart of enigmatic truth that only music can unmask.
