Afternoon Edition of
Sojourn to the Soul.
Sept 20, 2 pm
By now, many of you have reviewed the live video of me wearing and saying ‘I am going to keep forever’ the Fedora my own dad used to wear, which I saved in the back of the top of the closet in my hallway.
I think my brother correctly posted, ‘Now that’s a real collectable.’ And of course he is a correct, not the big straw hat with Tampa Bay’s initials on the freezer.
But on this afternoon, I want to pause to not just write about sharing and caring. I want to say our world is sadly failing. From Covid to crisis to crisis.
You can’t punch out a hurricane with your fists, but we can rise as a nation and do more than throw pillows.
That’s what the transformation of the soul is about - to ignite your own spirit within. It’s what I try to do even more now. Asking you to join with me.
And I did it while putting on a third watch, the one that says KC from Timex. Knowing as I do that it reflects the success of Pat Mahomes on one hand , but the achievements of Kent and Cormican on the other.
Maybe I should be called the Timex Man, in that I take a licking and still keep on kicking- after all I had the wherewithal a a little while ago, to ask Rusty to have both Mike Vetro and Joel Lavender to call me from North Carolina, where they each have homes.
Gotta go. The powers are here
