Minsan, all it takes is one simple dinner to remind you of what really matters.

Walang special occasion. Walang pasabog. Just the three of us—me, my husband, and our little one—sharing a quiet meal in a Japanese restaurant. While the world outside kept spinning, time slowed down for a bit habang nagsasalo kami ng sushi, hibachi, at konting tawa.

May something talaga about eating together as a family. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Hindi kailangang perfect yung table setup or may grand celebration. Sometimes, the most ordinary moments turn out to be the ones you hold on to the longest.

Habang pinapanood ko silang mag-usap at mag-share ng food, napaisip ako… this is it. This is the life I used to pray for. A calm moment. A warm dinner. A safe space. A family that feels like home.

Hindi madali ang araw-araw. May stress, may pagod, may lungkot na minsan hindi mo alam kung saan nanggagaling. But nights like this? They remind me why I keep going. Why I choose to show up. Why I love this life I’m building—bit by bit—with the people I love the most.

Kahit simpleng dinner lang, it’s proof na I’m doing okay. We’re doing okay.

And that’s more than enough. ♥️

May nakita akong video ng isang single mom na may anak na may cerebral palsy. She talked about how she maxes out her credit cards to pay for her son’s special needs tapos kayod lang nang todo to pay off her cards to max it out again the next month, and the next, and the next.

It’s a vicious cycle.

I was once a single mom, but I had help from my family—which I will always be grateful for. Watching her reminded me how heavy the load can get when you have no choice but to carry everything on your own.

My heart goes to her and all the single nanays who continue to show up, sacrifice, and fight for their children’s future even when no one’s cheering them on. You are seen. You are strong. And you are doing better than you think. ❤️
