The Hays County Fire Marshal’s Office has confirmed that a 23-year-old man has died from injuries he sustained in the fire that destroyed Savage’s Hill Country Bar and Grill on June 27. Zachary Salley, 23, died July 13.
Aidan Dwyer (pictured below) has been charged with murder in connection with the fire and the resulting death of Salley. Dwyer remains in custody at the Hays County Jail.

Aidan Lane Dwyer, 24, of San Marcos, was arrested in Jasper County and charged with arson, a second degree felony, in connection with the fire that burned Savage’s Hill Country Bar and Grill on June 27. No bond has been set as of the morning of July 1.
One person has been reported injured in the fire, according to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office; however, the Hays County Fire Marshal’s Office said the investigation into the fire is ongoing and did not confirm if there were any injuries related to the fire. Dwyer has been transferred to the Hays County Jail.

A fire destroyed Savage’s Hometown Bar & Grill on Friday morning. As of Friday afternoon, the Hays County Fire Marshal’s Office stated that the fire is still under investigation and that they could not confirm whether or not anyone was injured in the fire at this time. The City of Wimberley has issued information that the low water crossings in Wimberley will be open by 4 p.m. today.

Just after 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, the City of Wimberley issued an alert that low water crossings In Wimberley are currently closed. City staff will re-assess conditions tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. and will re-open if it is safe to do so.
