The waiting is over. Ian and Sage Summers, the brother and sister duo from Wimberley are the official winners of LEGO Masters, Season 5 on the FOX television network. They competed against nine other teams to win $100,000.
The Wimberley brickmasters impressed the judges with their fairy tale-themed build called "Our Story." Their victory earned them the $100,000 prize, the LEGO trophy and the title of LEGO Masters champions.
FOX flew their family to Atlanta to be with them during the finale.
“We were so happy to be with them during that huge moment,” said mother, Denise Summers. “We’re so proud of them.”

In last week’s city council meeting, Woodcreek and its Mayor Jeff Rasco, recognized Jay and Jennifer Bachman for their “selfless acts, strong community spirit and exemplary leadership” by awarding them the Spirit of Woodcreek Award. To emphasize their contributions, Mayor Rasco proclaimed the month of August, 2025, as “Jay and Jennifer Bachman Month.”
The Bachmans, both residents of Woodcreek, were praised for their good works in a proclamation that said, "the Bachmans have been steadfast pillars of our community through both their entrepreneurial and humanitarian efforts.”
“Following the devastating floods in the Texas Hill Country during the July 4, 2025 weekend,” it said, “Jay and Jennifer Bachman worked tirelessly with Mercy Chefs to provide comfort and nourishment to those affected, helping restore hope and dignity in the midst of crisis.”
Jay Bachman serves as a managing chef for Mercy Chefs, a national nonprofit disaster relief organization that provides professionally prepared, restaurant-quality meals to victims, volunteers and first responders during natural disasters and emergencies.
Founded in 2006, Mercy Chefs has responded to over 150 natural disasters and humanitarian crises across the U.S. and internationally, serving millions of meals and demonstrating the power of compassion through culinary service.
The Bachmans were further lauded in the proclamation, with “beyond their emergency response work, Jay and Jennifer also own and operate two beloved local establishments — Wimberley Café and Marco’s Italian Restaurant on the Square — serving not just meals, but also community and hospitality to residents and visitors alike.”
The Spirit of Woodcreek Award, the city’s highest civic honor, recognizes individuals who exemplify compassion, service and commitment to the well-being of others.
