what was fractured was not broken,
only unfinished.
And what didn’t belong
was never meant to stay.

I wore other people’s expectations,
trying to fit into shapes
not meant for me.

Now I gather the scattered pieces,
not to return to who I was,
but to become who I am—
whole in my own becoming,
finally learning that fitting in
was never the goal.
