ARCvr is featured in this article. Flutt3r spearheaded Target's Take Pride and created 3 worlds. and SKitt3r_ spearheaded Mastercard's True Self and built 2 worlds.

The scripting in both worlds was unique and challenging for its own reasons and that made it all the more enjoyable.

When building, remember not to group within group and only group if you are skewing objects. Also set as much as you can to non collidable. Only the outermost group needs collidable turned on.

Also Dan Tanzer wanted to remind people that you do need to group and turn on collidable when object group needs to be grabbable or animated.

One of the most useful tricks I have learned is that people love it when they can bounce and go a tiny bit faster in VR.

I tend to use triggers for these and keep it to designated spaces, but you can use when World is started if you want the whole world to be bouncy or have increased speed.

Event Tab: When trigger is entered by player
Motion Tab: set player gravity
{to 1.8 (this is the lowest it will go)}
Motion Tab: set player speed
(change this to 10 to start with and go up from there)

Event Tab: When Trigger is exited by player
Motion Tab:
set player gravity
Set player speed

You can also adjust speed by using spawn points. so when a person spawns at a specific point you can change how they interact with the environment.

ADVANCED:

Use light haptic feedback when they enter water and decrease speed slightly to add résistance and decrease gravity slightly to mimic buoyancy.

Gizmos:
Add sound
Add Particle effects

Hand animate text to make it look like water is moving back and forth.

When trying to create a realistic sky, try looking at more than your standard text shapes. I tend to use special characters to help to create my wispy clouds. I also use different colors, spacing, angles, layers and color variations to add depth.

A new kind of digital product agency.

ARCvr opens their virtual doors and launches across the web and social media.

ARCvr is confounded by Kiernan Pearce, who goes by Flutt3r, and Nathan Crawford, who answers to SKitter_. Together, Flutt3r and SKitter_ have collaborated on hundreds of worlds in Horizon Worlds.

ARCvr’s members provide digital products and marketing tools to brands- large or small- who wish to explore the exciting new frontier of web3 in Meta’s Horizon Worlds. Flutt3r and SKitter_ have worked with nonprofit organizations and even national brands, so you can trust they have the experience and skills to provide top-notch service even when turnaround times and deadlines are a concern.

Our members also have personally committed to giving back where they can. Flutt3r hosts Peer to Peer Support groups and group meditations and has earned a reputation for being the go-to source of information in Horizon Worlds for all things mental health. SKitter_ provides one on one and small group mentoring for those new to the Horizon Worlds platform, and operates a first-of-it’s-kind asset hub called The Builder’s Mall where they distribute premium assets to the community at no cost. “Our team also volunteers to help new creators learn to build and script. We are about giving back as much as possible to our growing community.”, says Flutt3r. “We are committed to helping our Horizon Worlds community grow and thrive through free digital assets in The Builder’s Mall, and through mentoring”, added SKitter_. “Initially, our team members will consist of Flutt3r and I, but we have committed to uplifting diverse voices and plan to grow our team in the coming months”
